Sangria Silk earns its name honestly — Red Fruit and Black Cherry up front, Sweet and Slightly boozy in the way a good Sangria is, layered with Candied fennel adding a soft anise Sweetness underneath. The acidity is juicy and bright, but never sharp; it's the kind of brightness that makes the whole cup feel alive rather than acidic in the sour sense. True to its name, the body is genuinely silky — smooth in a way that makes this one of the more effortless-drinking lots in the lineup despite how much is happening in the cup. It's grown on the Stanmore estate at 1,400 Metres above sea level and processed natural — dried whole in the cherry, which is exactly where that deep red fruit and cherry character comes from. At this elevation, the beans develop slowly, giving the sugars more time to concentrate before harvest, which shows up directly in that Fruit-forward Sweetness. The varietal blend here is SLN795 and SL9, giving this lot both complexity and a consistent silky texture — not an accident, but the product of two varietals chosen to complement each other. It's a coffee that rewards a lighter hand: pour-over or AeroPress will show off the fruit and acidity far better than anything that pushes heavy extraction. Sourced directly from the Stanmore estate, cupped and scored above 80 before it earns a place in a Five Roam bag, and roasted in small batches like every lot we carry.
